That's the general idea anyhow. Alfie and I will be moving this week. Lots of packing to do, lots of unpacking, lots of fretting over everything and getting everything just so. Just...Saturday's going to be a whirlwind of movement and, if it all goes well, we'll be WELL ahead of our target stuff moved ratio.
That said...I'm glad I don't do this too often. It's nerve-wracking.
On another subject, I'm glad I have no real desire to be internet famous. I stumbled upon Retsupurae's "Adults React to PewDiePie" and about choked. I'm not sure what PDP's damage is or why he loves the word rape so much...but someone who bandies it about THAT often with careless frivolity rarely if ever has neither the basis of understanding for nor the heinous damage from that act. It's in ALL of his videos. And this is a man who's out of high school.
He has 1.5 million subscribers. His videos have been called art. I'm not angry, believe me. This kind of doesn't even react that point. It's more...sadness that someone who panders like this, shoving lazy gameplay and shoddy dialogue into a banal video can somehow be E-Famous. Or think that everyone's laughing with him when a vast majority are laughing AT him and waiting to see what spectacle he'll come up with next.
How he has a girlfriend, I...don't think I want to know. What I do know is that I'm not alone in the feeling and, thankfully, people with higher brain function/capacity for understanding generally tend to avoid him and find him as repulsive as I do. Inasmuch as a 4chan troll not understanding until it's too late how high the price you pay really is for trying to be a badass toughguy, I've got a feeling this guy will end up screwing himself in the end...
Because I look at him and I honestly wonder if any employer ever would hire him once the passing trend of 'paying people to suck at video games online' passes. And it will.
At least Retsupurae does their work and does it good. MST3K might be proud.
