So, just out of curiosity, is this site just about the porn?

Is this site only about cub porn? It's all i ever see. Maybe I was wrong to think I could post things here. I dunno.
I don't draw well enough for porn stuff...and I want to, but not because it will make me popular [doubtful] but because of the things I wanna express...

So, my art ranges from cute, to tasteful nudes and studies. And Jewelry and fursuit pictures.

as such, i've been here for 17 months and have a total of 18 watchers. Most of which are friends from either my forum or FA.
So...perhaps this is Not the site for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm far from against porn...but if what I post is of no interest to anyone, then...there's no need for me to be posting here.

hmmm..gonna have to give this a little thought.

This site isn't completely about cub porn, but it is the primary concern. I wrote a recent journal about taking issue with the way cub porn was being presented here and decided to move my stories over to SoFurry because of it as well as wiping the cubby part of my gallery. Didn't go down too well with some people. :/

Actually hun it was your journal that prompted me to write this, that and some thoughts i've been having lately.

i don't have an issue with cub art mind you..or even the stories...but...when that is ALL that i see, it gets...i dunno...discouraging. I've been on Sofurry/Yiffstar for...oh god....8...9 years? not popular there either, but...at least there seems to be a bit of a varaity. Fa i'm on and well i won't lie, i'm a teeny bit popular there, in comparing mind you.

Yes i'd like for people to see what i've drawn and comment, or see what i've made and comment...^^ i like the attention....but...i also like my integrity.

I respect very much your reasons and have thought about them as well.

As artists we have our own line of integrity and what we feel comfortable with. in the end we do this because we enjoy it. If we ever have to step back and question ourselves about what we love to do, and this goes for everything....then it's time for a change.

Thank you. This is where i'm at with IB right now. The way cub is presented here is making me question my love for art, the fandom and everything in between. Hence, the journal.

I've had a few days to think how I was gonna respond, since I do like to see the jewelry and and stuff that you post. But here it goes.

I don't really quite think that's fair Kat. I mean, I post things that are non-porn too after all and all I really post are stories, except for the odd and rare commissions I get. Granted my porntastic stories tend to catch a few more eyes than my serious stuff does, but I am okay with that.

I've been here for about two years since it came out of beta and all I can really say is that the reason why the majority of it seems like cub stuff is because there aren't quite as many people here to post the non cub stuff as other places. Which is why I think it's a little...unfair you talk about integrity when you say you want to leave because it's all you see. If you want to see it change and see new things, then stay and help it grow and change by showing others there is someone like them on this website as well.

I personally love this site, Not so much for the content, I don't really care for the cub stuff, but I do love how it's managed and how responsive and polite the staff are and the more people who are here, the more it can only help the site.

All in all, if you decide to leave, I understand why and it's cool. I'll still watch you on other places, but as an after thought, what you are experiencing right now on IB, is pretty much what I've experienced my entire time on FA but I still stick around in hopes that my opinion will help (probably not though).

Mmm very good response. And you're right. I think to be honest I was having....a hard time with a few things. I Do like it here, for many different reasons. Just like I like Fa for different reasons and so on. One cannot expect sites to be the same, and I don't want them to be.

I'm not leaving, I've had time to cool down and collect my thoughts a little better. ^__^ I think the best thing for me to do, is to do what I love. If a get a new follower from it? Cool, if a get a fave from it? Cool! A comment? Cool! If not? That's ok too. [not as cool, but still ok ^^]

my two cents....
i like the filter system there is a lot here i just don't care to look at, and here i can filter it out, i find some folks from FA post are here that FA won't allow, thus allowing another avenue for artistic expression open to let the artiest's work reach their audience.
My artistic outlet has been in the form of acrylics on canvas and thus not something i can just scan and uploadbut i will post pics when i am done with them
