Nostalgia critic retires

For those of you who might know I am kind of a fan of www.thatguywiththeglasses.com (mostly for Linkara and Brad Jones work...).

I watched the ending of their most recent anniversary today and well... huhn...

Seems the longest running character and namesake of the site is gone... Doug Walker has retired the Nostalgia Critic... albeit it's not been officially announced (it's going up tomorrow supposedly) theirs enough hints throughout the movie and his last review... and confirmation on twitter (through other producers on the site) that he is indeed quitting as the NC. He signed an extended contract with Blip though so he has to produce... something weekly for them.... just kind of sad to see him go.... even if I do mostly go through Linkara's site (atop the fourth wall) and Brad Jones' (cinema snob) site mostly these days.

Just gunna miss that ranting lil guy.

That's actually real sad to hear. He was the main reason I've gone to the site, although Cinema Snob has also been picking up steam with me for some of the other reviews I've been linked to from TV Tropes. I do hope he enjoys his retirement, and that his last episode he does (or did) with a bang.

His high-pitched rage was one of my favorite things about him.

well as I said he has a contract with Blip and the site meaning he himself won;t retire, just the character will... so it looks like we will see more "bum reviews" and "ask that guy" instead of "Nostalgia Critic".

As for Brad Jones (aka Cinema Snob) I beg of you to watch his stuff on HIS website... just since he actually gets paid more if you do.... same with any reviewer that has their own main site. Also Brad Jones has more stuff on his main site than he posts on TGWTG (especially his Brad Tries and midnight screenings... both hilarious.) Basically by watching it on brads site not only does he get the Blip revenue but also revenue from his traffic advertisers.
