It was 52 years ago this month in June of 1972 when I registered with the Selective Service System. I was told I was not eligible for military service due to a hip joint injury I had sustained two years earlier in March of 1970 when I was age 16. That injury was a result of an accident in which I flipped a Honda three wheel ATV at 25 mph. The year 1970 was when those Honda 3 wheel ATVs were introduced. They were discontinued years later because of the design being so dangerous.

I'm 70 years old...to old for military service anyway. And my right hip joint has never been right since that ATV accident 52 years ago.
However, if WW3 did break out, I guess my old age and hip injury wouldn't stop me from getting a civilian job at a factory where they build equipment for the military to use. I do have a background in metal fabrication, understanding shop drawings and welding.
