Ask Me Anything

insisted I do this, so she wouldn't feel so self-conscious about doing it herself. So, go ahead. Ask me anything about me, my characters, or whatever else you might think of and I will answer. Or give it a shot, anyway.

Given that you probably had to use your fingers to type that question, I'm gonna go with none of them.

It's a long story. For most of the time I've been in the fandom, I didn't actually have a character that was supposed to be "me". I was far more interested in working on developing the characters in my first novel instead. So when I did decide I wanted to have a character who would be "me", I picked the one from that book who I felt was most like me. This happened to be my rabbit character, Niamh, who gave her name to this account. (She's this lady here: https://inkbunny.net/submissionview.php?id=188748) It wasn't so much a choice based on species as it was on personality. Niamh is possibly the real hero of the story, but she's also just an ordinary girl from a small town, rather like me.

The trouble was, Niamh had a pretty well established back story, including her relationship with her wife, Ciara. So when I started getting serious with my boyfriend, I decided to make a new character to be "me" to cut down on all the confusion. I was getting Niamh drawn with Ciara and with my boyfriend's character, and it didn't seem fair to anyone. By that time, though, I was so used to having a rabbit character I just stuck with the theme when I created Megan, my current self.

Besides which, I just kinda like 'em. I can't help but admire a species that has managed to thrive in spite of the fact that they're prey for pretty much anything that comes along.

Who is better bunnies or ponies?

Why, rabbits are better of course! I may be a tiny bit biased, though.

So, which of your characters do you most enjoy drawing? I might ask more but figure one question per message is nicer than crowding you up. Anyhow, a little curious on that.

I don't actually draw any of them. My only talent is writing, and I pay other people to draw my characters for me. Still, it'd be hard for me to pick which one is the most fun for me. It's probably an even toss up between Megan (https://inkbunny.net/submissionview.php?id=279451) who is my personal character, and Ciara (https://inkbunny.net/submissionview.php?id=186418) who was the heroine of my first novel and is one of my oldest and best developed characters.

Alright, I apologise for that mistake earlier. Now, I took a look at those characters, and I have been enjoying the art on your characters. I consider myself a bit of a writer too, so I can only salute you for getting your characters portrayed in images.

As for the question, well now.
"What do you do to rejuvenate your creativity?"
Personally favor some nice books, occasional bit of television, playing some games, listening to music I like, and so forth. Regular old tricks.

No need to apologize. I only wish I had the talent to draw like that! I'm always happy to know people like the things I commission, too.

It really depends on what my mood is, and what's keeping me from writing. Reading is usually always helpful, and listening to music can help sometimes, too. Sometimes I just need to get away from the computer or away from the house, and so I've been known to take a walk or drive somewhere just for a change of scene for a while. When I have the money, I sometimes take the odd writing course just for the sake of keeping myself sharp.

Well, going to be greedy and ask one more question then. Do you have a preferred genre for writing stories? I'd say I personally find myself enjoying both fantasy and science-fiction, as well as romance, so its not usually a simple 1 answer question, but I do admit wondering what is the genre(s) that appeal to you most?

You seem to have a few different characters, I'm not sure I know all of them. Who are all of them and what your inspiration for creating them?

Oh goodness, I've got more characters than I know what to do with. Some of them were actually bought from other people, but I'll list the ones I've actually created below.

1. Megan Bryar - Megan is "me". I used to use Niamh as my personal character, as you may remember, but I swapped them out when I started getting serious with my boyfriend because Niamh already had someone.

2. Debora Bryar - Megan's daughter. I created her for personal reasons, and because I thought she would be an interesting character to play with. I have no real kids at all.

3. Niamh Lohan - Niamh was one of the heroes of my first novel, and she's one of my oldest characters. Niamh is supposed to be Megan's cousin.

4. Ciara Lohan - Ciara is Niamh's wife, and she was the first furry character I ever created. She's another hero of my first novel and easily my favorite of the lot.

5. Fiachra O'Malley - Fiachra is Niamh's elder half brother who helped raise her. He's Niamh's parental surrogate in the novel. He's another of Megan's cousins.

6. Deirdre Lohan - Deirdre is Ciara's mother. She's an aging, alcoholic soldier at odds with her daughter through most of the book, though they make up in the end.

7. Connor - Connor is Ciara's father. Like Deirdre he spends most of the book at odds with his daughter as she tries to stop both of them from perpetuating a war that will destroy them both.

8. Jessamine Bryar - The heroine of my second novel, and no relation to Megan. I just stole her name. Jess is a slave turned unwilling revolutionary and I basically created her as a challenge to myself to throw a character in the worst situation I could think of and try to turn it into a story.

9. Catherine and Sara - Two more characters from my second novel. They are Jessamine's allies, and the two who bring her into the revolution.

10. Cassandra Cooper - A character I created as a joke. I kept seeing all these red fox colored rabbit characters around, so Cassandra is a rabbit colored red fox. I picked the English Spot rabbit for her colors, because I felt it was more recognizably rabbity than something generic.

I just adopted the others, but I've been trying to work as many as I can into my stories. So if you have any questions about any I didn't mention here, or any I did for that matter, feel free! And I hope this helps a little.
