Valve, valve, valve. You have the greatest ideas and make them reality in the funniest way.
For those that don't know what I am talking about. Valve has made a new game mode for Team Fortress 2. All complete with comics and videos! (even if you don't play the game I'd recommend reading the comics. They are funny as heck)
Basically it is sort of a co-op/tower defense version of the classic shooter. Robots attack some buildings and you have to stop them. They run on money and collecting it allows you to buy upgrades for your weapons and stuff.
And the stages are brimming with details again. For example to protect Mann Co. Headquarters you mercenaries built a decoy facility (called decoy). Every sign is hand painted and there's even the buckets with the paint still lying around and unfinished signs. In another map (Coal Town) in the spawn room is a museum showing such awesome things like: The first piece of coal ever mined here or newspaper cutouts showing headlines of Saxton Hale (CEO of Mann Co.)
They took something simple: A shooter where 9 different classes blow each other up on maps that make no sense (why would 2 opposing fractions build their headquarters only a few meters from each other and perfectly mirrored?) Then they added a little spark of life, the taunts and one-liners of the characters, and it turned each of the classes into something distinctive. And from there the spark grew into a fire which is now a crazy universe full of action and fun.

You mean hats? Well I never cared much for them myself and you do get random drops too that can be converted so it's not that big of a deal to me. I haven't payed anything (expect the orange pack price), but all those people that pay allow valve to add new stuff to the game. I hadn't play TF2 for a while now and now I am back and its great fun.

items i dont normally use in the main game are suddenly useful, and the other way around, it turns you away from some items that are choice for multiplayer.

Yeah, but the small clip means you have to stop shooting often. With the widow maker (with full speed upgrade you can spam the gun almost like its a machine gun) But I used Frontier Justice too. It is very awesome. But it is bad when you die just when you wanna go on killing spree.

I think the game is jut fucking terrible now. A horrible way for Valve to make a quick buck off of whoever is gullible enough to buy the latest community reskined ill conceived class-role ruining weapons or neon-particle effect promotional tie in headwear. The entire game only exists now to be a dumping ground for the store. It's a fucking tragedy too as it started out life as one of the most thoughtfully designed multiplayer shooters to ever exist.

Last night I finally could play Sniper for a whole map. If you upgrade Jarate full it is very good for whole team as you can keep several bots covered and receive minicrits.
And the speed upgrade for bow makes killing a blast ;3

360 lags behind in updates. It will get to there eventually I guess, but I don't know when. But TF2 is free now for the PC anyway. Just install it there and play on PC ^^

I've tried this several times already... but it takes forever to find a match. Its like i'm perpetually queued at 30 minutes. I'm still looking forward to trying it.

You can start the map in solo mode too (which is practical as you can check out the upgrades available in the shop without risking annoyed shouts from other players) and you can start and try out waves (although it is very unlikely you can defeat a wave solo). Also you can do some achievements this way ;3 To do this press the + button on the "Server" button and choose a mvm map. Also if you click Servers directly you can try and connect to a server without being queued.
