Something Interesting in Lollipop Chainsaw

This journal doesn't contain anything I would consider a spoiler. Just information on an extras unlockable art piece. However for the sake of anyone who may consider this a spoiler no matter how mild I will post the info a bit further down so stop reading if you don't want to know....

So my friend had bought Lollipop Chainsaw to play because he was excited about it. He got it pre-ordered. Though he doesn't actually OWN any game consoles so me and him played it taking turns here at my place. Anyways we just beat it tonight finally after forever due to scheduling conflicts and such. Anyways upon beating the game we went to look through the unlocked art and stuff since a lot of them have flavor text which are amusing. We got to one which was art for a very early game mid boss (Like stage 1 I believe). There is a teacher zombie you fight named Mr. Fitzgibbon. Noticed something verrrrry interesting about his flavor text though on the art. I shall post what it said below.

"He was everyone's favorite algebra teacher at San Romero High; he liked to attend furry conventions in his downtime, and loved a good "furpile"."

Well now isn't THAT interesting huh.

I knew I'd heard of it somewhere before, but couldn't place it... Thank you Wikipedia, for reminding me that the main character's English voice actress is Tara Strong, who I know as the voice of Twilight Sparkle (and who I could meet this weekend if I were at all interested in getting autographs... though I think there might be a panel with her in it, I couldn't figure out which from the schedule).

For the record, I missed that panel--I woke up late Saturday and got there 10 minutes before the panel ended. But... even if I'd gotten there an hour before it began... that's when they started turning people away from the elevators to avoid cramming more people in the grand ballroom than fire code allows.

I continue to be amazed at the sheer scale of what's going on. This is the first year of a convention for a fandom of a show that has not even begun its third season yet... and the number of registered attendees is on the close order of that of Anthrocon. (I vaguely remember the numbers being around 3000 for Everfree NW and around 4000 for Anthrocon.)
