Thank you.

I was getting pretty well burnt out from work and hadn't had anything remotely close to a vacation in a few years.  A couple days in the mountains did me good.

Done that before.

Regretted it every time.

Something about sleeping too long makes it even worse then not enough.

You sound like me...I take a break, come back, try to get back into the swing of things....only I don't get back into the swing of things, mope around a while, call myself a failure, and then go take a break again...

Damn, I'm so depressing at night. I need to go to bed. Cry myself to sleep...yet again....

Failure is the stepping stone to success.  When asked how he dealt with so many failures on his mission to create the electric light bulb, Thomas Edison replied: "I didn't fail, I simply discovered 10,000 different ways NOT to make a light bulb".  (Or something like that)

That Edison guy was pretty clever.

If you think yourself a failure, few people will argue with you.  On the other hand, if you consider every setback a chance to learn, then you stand a fair chance at success.

I also find that it helps if you modify your definition of "success" to suit your needs.
