Having computer problems

I tried to install a new mobo and graphics card but something went wrong
No art till I get it fixed. I should have the money to fix it, if not I'll figure something out.
I might have lost everything on my hard drives but hopefully not, all of the important stuff is backed up anyways. I'll keep you guys up to date

Even with Swiftkey, typing on my phone is still one character at a time...

If you're running windows changing the motherboard can mean you may have to reinstall windows.

I doubt you lost any of your data at all.  Don't reinstall on top of your existing windows install because you could lose your data.  Connect the HD to another computer and copy the files off first.  Then you can reinstall.

Everybody I know is losing their hard drives/killing their computers lately (including me), so I knew this was going to happen when you said you were replacing the mobo

Everybody's computers are breaking lately, everybody's pets are dying, everybody is leaving FA and IB on purpose...I wonder, are all these signs of the coming Maya apocalypse?

your videocard probably was sucking way more energy than a) your mobo could supply b) your power supply?

Power supply is where i would start looking.  Most new video cards require more power than the motherboard can supply and require extra power be supplied directly from the power supply.  same goes for the newer processors too...  the last time i upgraded i had to go from a 400 watt that served me well for 4 years to a 950 watt just so i could power it on.

On another note.  What are the new specs of your system?  And are you an AMD or Intel?  Nvidia or ATI?

I myself am an AMD / ATI on a Gigabyte motherboard.
