welp I'm happy with my new monsterputer, I'm installing art programs and playing around with them, gonna be doing some art streaming so we can all have some fun and all see you there...

This is very different. But you've stuck with a difficult project for a long time and always made progress. How do you keep interested in putting in all the time and work?

Put artwork in your game and post it or go away. I know that your drones will come to your rescue by replying, thinking, 'that showed him!' But I don't really care. Maybe these people are just trying to schmooze you so that you will eventually deliver, or maybe they're legitimately dumb enough to approve of you, like the 19% of Americans who approved of Bush throughout his presidency. But I don't really care. I know you'll call me a troll, or call foul, or whatever, but I don't really care. I'm not a troll, I'm the truth. Post your game with art included or stop stringing these people along. Imagine if Van Gogh painted in only half of Starry Night, hung it up, then taped a note to the bottom of it that listed his personal problems. Look at yourself and honestly tell me you aren't doing the same. Post the game with art in it or get the hell out.

Perhaps that was a bit harsher than you needed to be, but you ARE right. Any second though, we're both going to get a flood of hate about "bitching about something free", yet I don't see why people are willing to accept getting treated like pets JUST because they're getting something free.

I just think it's sick how these people keep rooting for him...for years. It would have been best if he'd just stayed gone this time, but that would be out of his nature, as would posting the entire game.

Wow, what a dick thing to say.

I bet you feel the same about Dwarf Fortress, even though it's existence is directly responsible for the current wave of top-down block-based world builders.

I waited something like 6 years for half life 2, and have at this point essentially waited just shy of a decade for 3.

Things that are good, are worth waiting for. Because without them, the world sucks ass.

I agree. i would love to see the artwork. i would love to have you commit to completing this thing. then making more games and more art for me to enjoy. and i want it done now. like right now. like here's the ultimatum. -posts- walks over to PS3. puts in Duke Nukem Forever.... ... ... ... turns off. walks back to computer. Avalon. take your time. you have wonderful artwork and have developed a masterful game. don't pander to the sad individuals that have conditioned themselves to want what they want RIGHT NOW! and don't destroy or degrade your work by providing to the "fans"

to "Fans" - take a shit in one hand and want in the other. let me know what fills up first. if you want a babysitting cream game so bad go make it your damn self. I'm going to wait and enjoy the artwork of this talented individual.

Van Gogh - dude was nuts, but a fantastic artist. and learn your history. A.) painted it in a crazy house. as with prisoners, when you CAN'T have a life you find something else to do. and B) pretty sure no one crawled half way up his ass telling him to finish it with each stroke of his paintbrush.

also, unless your a little 12-15 year old dweeb that has never known a world before high speed internet you will understand. Duke Nukem ... ... a piece of my heart died the day i played that game...

Fair is fair everyone can express their opinions I say. But seriously? The game is HIS project do do with as he wishes. Don't like it? Don't play it. No disrespect is meant to anyone by this. Just figured my opinion was on par with yours.

Well, Killahana COULD have a point if, and only if AvalonX had done what Notch did with Minecraft.

Namely, selling it for cash while still in Beta n stuff. Since he already earned money, he is kind of in a tight spot to release further updates.

Well, Avalon is not. He provides a flash game others would ALREADY sell for money for free.
And since that is, there is not even the smallest reason anyone could push him, besides his own ego of course.

Anyway, i'm glad he turned to see those kind of comments with humor. Waste of time AND life to be angry about anything like that ^^

Wow....just wow Killahana...the fact remains that true fans wait no matter what and support what they are fans of life happens and its not like there are not other distractions people can take up while they are waiting for something like this...and in the end it makes the end result that much more satisfying when it DOES get done because those of us that stuck with it from the get go will still be here to see it come to fruition while those who bailed because they are whiners who have nothing better to do than troll boards will miss out...plain and simple
