Surgery was a success!

Its finally over, however I whent into the hospital on the 19th and was only supposed to be in for 23 hrs. There was some bleeding that caused problems so im still in the hospital, may be out by Jan 1rst. But im somewhere, where there's people to keep an eye on my instead of sending me home like i wanted. But it for the best, where my bag was is now a hole. Its odd because i have never heard of this before, they took off the bag, closed the small intestine and put it back where its supposed to be. Stiched the damage muscles together then closed this fat layer just under the skin. I forgot the name of it but basically it will heal from the inside out. So I have to keep it clean and replace my dressing every day till the skin grows back. Now i have to deal with constant diarrhea of sorts because my large intestine and colon has forgotten how to function. Been told i'll need diapers for about 5 to7 weeks till my normal functioning comes back. Now for the fun part because I can't handle pain well, they have me 3 different opioids that dulls the pain just so i can sleep. But all 3 have side effects that actually keep me awake. My lips dry out, severe dry mouth. And a sensation I'm not sure how to describe. Its like not being aware of where i am and i have already tried pulling my IV's out of my body a few times. I wasn't expecting it spend my xmas in the hospital. But i knew it could happen when I went in on Monday. I'll post when i go home and how i heal.
