Street Fighter and Batman

I've been getting back into Street Fighter after almost 10 years of vowing off fighting games.  I had a friend once who always made me feel miserable when playing Killer Instinct that I ended up developing a mental psychosis that just brings out the worst of me when playing fighting games.  I've gotten over it though and have been enjoying Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition after buying it on sale on steam.  While I'm getting better at the game I am currently looking for friendly sparing partners to play with.  While playing online can be fun, it's usually better to play with someone you know so it doesn't feel personal.  If you have this game and you're interested, PM me and I can give ya my Steam account name or gamer tag (Since it is a windows live game).

Don't worry though, the game isn't going to distract me from working on my own game ideas.  It's actually a bit therapeutic to play around with this game to get a little bit of the stress off from school work and other life things.

I also went to see the new batman movie yesterday, and it was pretty good.  It seems the tragedy in Colorado seems to be overshadowing the movie though.  Before you say anything, I am hurt by this tragedy but most of my conversations lately have been geared towards politics.  It seems when a tragedy like this happens the liberals come forward and scream more gun control, laws, and regulations, and then the conservatives come forward and blame the gays and atheists for living in the country forcing god to allow this tragedy.  I don't want to look at it like that.  This was a horrible tragedy and I hope for the best those who were affected by it.  I'm just going to leave it at that.

The Dark Knight Rises was good, but it didn't surpass the awesomeness of "The Dark Knight."  Part of me kind of knew that this would happen when I walked into the midnight screening.  I was all hyped up and my expectations were high, even though i wasn't trying to get them that high and attempted to keep an open mind.  It was a good movie though and a good way to end a trilogy, for those who haven't seen it don't go in with super high expectations and you'll enjoy it just fine.  The only part that really bothered me was the voice of Bane.  He sounds like Sean Connery through the whole movie, I kept expecting him to say something about Batman's mom.  Anyone else see the new movie yet?

It's okay.  I have played CvM3 but I wasn't that into it.  It still feels too random and unbalanced.  Usually when I play a crossover game I like to feel that I'm free to pick the characters I'm into rather then the ones that end up being the only ones that can actually fight.  It's the same reason why I'm not that big of a fan of Smash Bros either.

Um...i am religious(in reality i am trying to get away for this sort of things) and i don't blame gays and athiests. I agree it is very sad what happened and i really want to know what this guy was thinking but that won't make it better. On a side note you talking about fighting games makes me want to say if you are gonna play any more go for Persona 4 Arena(if you play on major systems). Maybe cause Persona 4 is my favorite game ever but i plan to get that and i have always hated fighting games....wait i left the point behind somewhere in random thought. Well i do agree that people always blame to lack of control and so on but really if someone wants to do such things they will find a way to get the weapons. May God bless the people who lost there lives and anyone that was injured there that day.

I'm really sorry if I came off as bashing religion.  I have no qualms with religion or the religious at all, just those on the extreme far right like the American Family Association.  As I stated before, both sides of the aisle have their bad apples that makes the whole look bad and I'm not looking forward to either side's reaction to this.

No it is ok i understand. I am not mad at all. I can tell the way you said it that you meant no disrespect. I even agree with you about how they are not in the right in that sense. We are all equal in God's eyes. Even if Jesus does not like the lifestyle they have(and belive me the lord does not like it) they are still loved.

I saw the movie this afternoon.  While some of the sections seemed a little drawn out and could have been shorter, I enjoyed it overall.  I thought it was a nice ending to the trilogy.

If you have a PS3 or X-box check out Skullgirls, its system is similar to Marvel vs Capcom 2 but without the dumb stuff.  The characters are all pretty balanced and the game has a ton of depth, plus it's only like 15 bucks I think.
