nono, it was not Rally stalking Bladesy, I did that tagging.. My only purpose in that was that people would more easily find wolfblades pics from all over IB with one single keyword query. Do people search just tags? I usually search tags and description, and I always mention the artist in the description.
Admittedly, I had just woken up and was also feeling stressed when I saw that, so it's an overreaction on my part. However, I think I'll be disabling the option now since I've been told several times that I actually use too many tags anyway (110 on one submission on my new account).

I search tags. Makes its allot easier to locate specific artwork. There are alot of people who don't tag there works and there is no such thing as too many tags. But is such thing as too few.
Discriptions are nice too but I seen thouse with out a discription and tags and there the artists that go unnoticed. So fade my untaggers and dicription writers, fade into the darkness of unpopularity and notice as you will never be quite as big as you hope, compared to thouse who do tag and discribe their works in detail. XD
Suggestions for tags are nice, take it as a complement. It would be 100 times worse if the person had the control to change the tag themselves.

I think this will end up causing more little annoyances or headaches than actually address the main issue with tags.
It's not a bad feature to have really, and the worst of the frustration with it will likely just be these first few days or weeks as people who want to be helpful get it all out of their system. Then it shouldn't be a matter of flooding like that (unless someone decides to put 'Rally' on all your submissions ;3 )
The problem is, the real issue around tags was when people were specifically and intentionally choosing to not tag their pics with what they knew would be a tag lots of people would filter. This wasn't an enormous number of people, and just making the changes they did to the keyword policy (which had been requested here and there since the beginning) and having admins enforce filter tags on those few individuals would have been a more simple solution. Now though, those people who refuse to participate in the filter system because they don't want people to be able to avoid seeing their art (and I have seen people state exactly that) will just opt out of this.
If they do actually make people apply the 'this is one of the things people would most use the filter/block feature for' tags, then that and the change in policy addresses at least that particular issue. The keyword thing is just (sometimes potentially annoying) icing.
