Got a new toy, art related (wait, what?)

Just came in, 450$. Its basically a tablet like the Wacom Cintiq, but a lot cheaper in cost (and of course not as high of quality on pressure sensitivity and some other features i am guessing). But 450-500$ vs 2000+$ for similar sized Cintiq is a nice difference for those who are on a budget but want a Cintiq like tablet.

Now before people start pestering me to draw, a few things to please keep in mind - I haven't drawn actively in over 20 years. My muse and inspiration to pick up a pen or pencil and draw anything hasn't cared to return since 1990 or so. I really had my ego and esteem and whatnot beat up and hurt on that subject, so prodding me to draw is just going to get me to snarl and snap at you. I'm trying to give it a go again, since may have

badgerben move in for a while later in the year, and the MLP FiM show and its community really has been rekindling my care to try to draw stuff again.

But I'm back at square one, as if one hasn't drawn anything ever.  Muse is still dry, inspirations dead, got tools i can use to draw with digitally and traditionally.. but no direction.  So this will be a long, slow process on me getting to where I'm posting anything or getting in a groove to draw often.  I have a lot on my plate for this month and maybe half of next month that's way more important for me to handle.

What I *can* use, is support, advice and tips.  I know I can just wave a pen/pencil around on paper and make shapes and attempts at buildings cars or characters, but i don't know whats best to work on first - anatomy, some other thing, etc.

Programs I have that (i think) still work I think this works with - Adobe CS 2-5, SAI (questionable), Painter X (10), Art Rage 2.5 (I think still got it), and of course OC 1.71.
