Only Once Before...

...have I asked another writer for permissions to write in their setting.  It is something that I have always been uncomfortable with.  I also hesitate writing for other people's characters unless it is a collaborative effort, preferably done in real-time in Google docs.

However, that might change.  There are a couple of worlds I would absolutely love to write in.  All I have to do is work up the courage to ask the creators of said worlds.  For me that is easier said than done.

It's a slippery slope. People crave such content but there is a very thin somewhat invisible line you have to watch for when permission is given.  You need to sit down and hammer out (so to speak) what, when , where, why and how to publish such content. There is a-lot of fanfics for the  Wings of Fire series but the fan base is very divided and irritable on the subject.
Oddly enough many fanfics are better than the original even the artwork for that matter. That's when things get complicated.
I do remember a Dark Natasha piece of you and a winged hare (rabbit) and thought that it would make for an interesting story since it felt like there was a story behind it.

Yeah, I got into a bad situation in my mod making when I got permission to use an abandoned mod in mine, then I ended up pissing off the original owner.  It ended our friendship.

As for the image, the winged rabbit was her take on a moogle.  That was Kupok and I.

I've made many mods for the Elderscrolls series going back to the Morrorwind era when creation kit came into it's own.
I know the situation very well indeed.
Thanks.
I hope to read your stories.
