Yoooo.
So, commissions are going to be delayed for a little bit. This is primarily because of stress, but also because I'm signing the new lease on a new place that I'm going to be moving into in the next 1-2 weeks. I'm honestly so stoked about it, but also stressed the fuck out. It's a mixed bag.
Onto the bad news...my usual income I would get (outside of commissions) is going to be all but gone after I move. Without going into too much detail, I got passive income twice a week that paid about 75% of my bills, and I supplemented the rest with doing stories for folks. Due to some circumstances out of my control, I can no longer get this income. However, I can get something else...but that something else requires me to spend full time hours looking for a job to qualify. If you live in the UK, you probably know what I mean.
So my only option is to get a job, unfortunately. I cannot feasibly keep up with a usual commission workload if I have to spend 5-6 hours a day job hunting-- it would be much easier for me ot pick up a part time job and do that instead. Sadly, this means that I will be taking on significantly less commissions in the foreseeable future, as I'll have less time to actually work on them. The good news is that I'll be earning a lot more than I ever did writing stories for people, and I may consider turning my focus to personal projects now that I don't have the stress of earning money hanging over my head. But, we'll see. I do still like writing stuff for people. if you're wondering whether I could be self employed, the chances are slim; I just don't make enough writing commissions, and the time spent is significantly more than a simple part time job.
So yeah, expect a dip in content for the next couple of weeks whilst I figure things out and get settled into my new place. Things wont necessarily pick up again quickly but I intend to finish my remaining commissions before taking anything else on at the very least. You know who you are if you're still waiting on stuff.
