My mom grilled up two sirloins on the front porch. It rained a bit and we were worried it would put out the coals on the grill, but fortunately it was just a little drizzle, and, voila, eatable steaks! Add some mashed potatoes and some croissants and we had a nice little steak supper.
After this, we ate some watermelon for dessert and watched the movie 1776. When they finally signed the Declaration of Independence at the end, it was getting on eight o'clock and my mom and I were feeling a bit sleepy and so we decided to call it a night and went to bed (my usual problems getting to sleep and constantly waking up notwithstanding).
As I fell asleep, or tried to, whilst finishing up Jules Verne's Master of the World, I heard fireworks off in the distance, likely at the Mudcats stadium. It was very relaxing.
So, I had a pretty decent Fourth of July. Certainly not the most eventful one, but it was fun nonetheless.
