You may be wondering why things have been so quiet for the last few weeks. Well, I've been undergoing some personal issues and I figured I should talk about them...
Towards the end of February, I began to feel quite nauseous and miserable...to the point where I could not go to work. Considering that in the 12+ years I've been at my current job site and in that time I've missed a grand total of 3 days due to illness, that's pretty significant. As time progressed, I began to feel worse and eventually went to the hospital. This led to me having a second hernia repair surgery and I ended up staying in the hospital for almost a week.
The good news is I'm feeling better and I'm finally back home. The bad news is that I'm going to be out of work for about another 4 weeks until I'm healed enough to return. I do not know how this is going to affect me financially, but it is possible that I may need some sort of assistance until I'm back on the job.
Another bit of good news is that with some extended time off from work, I'll have more time to work on stories, so hopefully I'll be able to get some more done over the next few weeks.
For now though, I'll have to take it easy and be careful about how much stress I put my body under. I do not want to have to go through the shit I had to this time around again.
