Some thing good?

I hit here and a few other sites and I always ask the same thing, "Where's all the good stuff at?" Now don't get me wrong, I see TONS of porn and lots of it well drawn by talented artist but (maybe its just me) so much of it seems just "meh"... Like you log in and see there's 10 new posts waiting for you here, click the link to open the thumbnails and then don't bother clicking on any of them; despite these images being uploaded by artists you are actively watching. Go over to say E621 and scroll through a few pages and maybe you'll click on 4 or 5 things.

I don't know if I'm getting old or picky or what not but I seem to keep having this feeling lately of tedium while trying to find some thing new and interesting to look at. "So why not commission some thing then?" I'm sure some of you are saying but that isn't always the answer as some times YOU can't come up with some thing your interested in either. YCH some times help but not often enough and when you DO find some thing you want, how often do you actually look at the picture after getting it?

Animations are nicer obviously but expensive and take a while to get after commissioning them, plus you need to find artists who's talent in doing them isn't overtaken by the price they ask for them.

So how about the rest of you, think your getting jaded or just the weight of the world is cock blocking you in the porn enjoyment area or what?

I understand what you mean. Well, I remember when I joined FA 10 years ago, at the end of the day I could check all the new submissions posted during the day in the Browse section. I say Browse, not the submissions from artists I'm watching, which means I could see all the submission posted by all the artists on FA just in like 10 pages of submissions.

Time after time, there where more and more artists posting art (I don't judge the quality) which means the 'good stuff' you say is lower in terms of percentage. Also since a few years, lot of artists are mainly posting their art in Twitter, and like 2 months later they post all the pics in FA/IB/etc in the same day. That could explain the absence of the 'good stuff'.

As artist, I always try to keep my prices as lower as I can to make everybody can afford a pic from me, even if I know I could ask a bit more for it, but apparently artists can't charge X quantity if they are not popular.

That's the fun of the furry fandom with artists and prices: popularity>quality.

I think it's a combination of getting jaded and the fact that pretty much everything has been done before, at this point pretty much done to death.  The faces and the names change, but there are only so many kinks out there, and only so many positions/situations they can be drawn in

To be honest I’ve personally reached a point where a lot of what I follow is more on the long-running comic side of things as the humor and art styles of such things appeal to me.  I mean I have a few old favorites I can rely upon to get off with if I just want to get off, but you are right in that finding new things that suit one’s tastes is quite difficult as time wears on.

I’ve heard of it before.  It is generally when one allows ones’ emotional state of dedication to a particular result to drive one to accomplish or reach said result well beyond when one should logically have quit and taken a different route to what one desired.  One just keeps putting more and more into obtaining their goal, incapable of realizing that their current methods are flawed in some way until the one winds up losing more than what one would have or should have in pursuit of an ultimately futile goal.
