Alrighty, folks, despite dealing with 105+ degree heat with 120% humidity weather where I live AND having to literally empty out the hottest room in the house, furniture and all... I am still alive, and I have not forgotten about you guys.
I have TWO STORIES on the verge of being finished. Pokemon Battle Kingdom is one sex-sequence from completion. Digimon Defenders is half a fight-scene and a little bit of exposition from being finished. Both of these combined are less than a week's work.
I also have a comic in progress, written with the help of
. I wrote the script, he's doing all the art, and I can honestly say it is quite possibly the funniest thing I have ever written, and VERY sexy too! Provided he can finish the art, it will be done this week.
Outside of that, there's not much to talk about... Things have been very quiet and I've been fighting the heat and trying not to break my back carrying bookshelves down flights of stairs. My PS3 gave up the ghost and died on me, and Sony refuses to repair it because Gamestop replaced the serial number sticker... so I have to find a place that WILL do the work (and none are in my hometown or within 100 miles).... AND it crapped out not one week before the game I wanted to play the most came out: Amazing Spider-Man. T__T
Anyway, that's about all the news I have... Rock on, folks, and keep cool!
It's good to have an update from you, Skye, especially with all the tales of weather-woe from your neck-of-the-woods *hug*. Don't strain yourself with furniture - if it's too heavy, it's too heavy! Best wishes for a PS3 resolution that won't break the bank, and for your creative efforts.

What really makes those temps sound horrible is that high humidity. In my area temps can go over the 110 F degree mark, but the humidity never approaches anything like that here during a heat wave. I can only imagine--no I take that back. I can't imagine nor do I want to imagine what that's like. Best of luck to you and keep plenty of water nearby.

The weather isn't normally THIS humid, since I live in Southern Pennsylvania, but OH, DEAR GOD, it's been bad. We've been getting hit by tons of thunderstorms, which means lots of water evaporating back into the air. ^^;;;;

Be glad you just missed the round of storms that passed through Maryland. 600k homes still without power as of this time yesterday. Just got mine back on today.
As for repairing the PS3, only suggestion I have is a place called Pandoras Cube if you are coming this way for Otakon. Its about 40 min drive away from the convention center, deeper toward the Maryland/DC border. Only suggestion I've got sadly :(

I didn't miss 'em. I was hit by the storms, although they weren't as strong here. My aunt is without power in Maryland, though... and thanks for the suggestion, I'm gonna keep that in mind and take a look for it. I have another place in mind that might work.
