Latest spinal update!

Spinal update! I'm just back from the doctor with my 6 week post-op check up. It's all good news. I'm 100% off narcotics and muscle relaxants, and able to start weaning myself of Gabapentin. I am no longer required to wear the cone of shame at home, I only need to wear it when I am in the car, or in places where I might be jostled about by the public, and that is only for the next 4 weeks, then I'm done with it for good. The doctor doesn't think that I require physical therapy with the level of recovery I am showing so far.

Make a full recovery asap! Sad thing that it will have to be treated at a future point, but it's good to know, that you are on the road of healing for now! =;)

Also, IRONY!!!! Keep the Cone of Shame! Will be good for some irl kink-play, once you are healthy and strong again! ~♥ >XD

This is true, but it's a single location fusion, so the hope is that the two vertebrae will fully fuse, at which point the hardware will never need maintenance. Apparently there is an 80% chance I won't ever need to worry about THIS bit of hardware. But I have damage at every cervical vertebrae. So odds are possible that I will need future surgeries on those sites.

Well, lets hope for the best then! Keep yourself safe and make sure to aid your recovery! Hope you get this behind your back, for the next 200 years or so! ☺

It is not a cone of shame, it protects you from being hurt, therefore it is armor.

Yeah, well... it's a shitty AC. :P  But yes, it has helped me heal a great deal, and I will continue to wear it in places where I need it.
