So, you all know that I've been posting captions for fun in between stories. I had neglected to put proper thought into it and was under the impression that it was as simple as crediting the original work. Well, clearly that's wrong, and it sadly took a commenter bringing it up to make me realize that after all this time.
I had never actually asked any of the artists for permission to use their art for the captions, which was wrong.
I've realized as well that I've put the artists in an awkward position by literally posting first and asking questions later. Therefore, I've made the express decision to take down all of the captions regardless of the artists' thoughts. This is because permission given after the fact will naturally be influenced by actions that have already come about. The views simply aren't worth my integrity as a creator. I'll also be going around to apologize to each artist personally.
From now on, I intend to ask express permission from the creator first and foremost before making any captions using their art.
I sincerely apologize to any artist that I've involved through my ignorance and negligence. I also apologize to my viewers and readers who should expect better of me.
