I do not understand why Regret is common among my peers.

Regret cannot solve current problems.

reminds me of the butthole surfers. "...well son, the funny thing about regret is, it's better to regret something you have done, than to regret something you haven't done."

Regret is a reminder for us to not do what we've done in the past.

To regret is to acknowledge that there is a problem with one's behaviour; no regret, no change. Regret in itself is not enough, but it's necessary as a start.

BTW, which "current problems" do you not believe can be solved by regret?

That's not quite regret. That's education. That's experience. That's knowledge. That's learning.

A little regret is okay I suppose, But why do people allow regret to paralyze them and hold them back from moving forward?

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/regret -- Regret means understanding or realizing that something you did was a bad idea and/or wishing you'd done something differently. Being unable to continue one's life is sometimes called depression. Depression can be situational, (caused by things beyond one's body), or clinical, (caused by a neurochemical imbalance in the brain.) It would vary from person to person.

So you're seeing a lot of members who are not getting on with their lives? The reason is probably different for each member. if it seems to be the same, then something peculiar is going on.
