The difficulty with journaling (10-10-21)

by
Or podcasting, or blogging, or any medium where I’m alone talking to other people.

I’m a conversationalist. I need a back and forth to be comfortable talking.

Writing journals like this only has one of those, the ‘forth’. I need to come up with the entirety of the discussion by myself. It’s not too bad if I know what I’m going to talk about, but once I’m out of idea, I’m stuck staring at a screen and…….

A lot of the time, that’s what will happen. Which is why some journals feel like I’m just reciting the events of the week, because that’s all I can think to do. (it’s also why I have my ‘ask a question line’ since that bring in the ‘back’ portion of the conversation.) when I was on the road, it wasn’t too bad, but now that I’m home, doing the exact same thing every day, I’m not sure I’ll be able to make it interesting no matter how hard I try.

So yeah… sort of out of ideas at this point.

As usual, if you have questions, please, ask them, they give me something to talk about. If you don’t feel comfortable asking them here, you can email them to me at: S.Stpierre@thetigerwrites.com

If you want to support me, You can do so through my Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/kindar, Kofi https://ko-fi.com/kindar, or . . . . Hmm, I do need 3rd thing to make this word, don’t I?

And with that. I, will wish you a good day.

Have you ever had a scene that your characters kinda "told you" that they needed to have, but you were not really comfortable writing it?

If so what made it hard for you? How did you work through it?

If you are having a hard time finding something to journal about you might refer to the linked list. maybe pull something from it or maybe make your own version of it.
