Picarto bans minor NSFW contents.

just found out that the terms of use for picarto.tv have changed.
https://picarto.tv/site/terms

"	Also prohibited are depictions of lascivious and NSFW-like persons or characters under the legal age of maturity. Doing so will result in your account Doing so will result in your account being permanently banned.

I wonder which country's law decides the legal age of maturity for animals or furries? LOL.

In any case, I'm wondering if I should stream with picarto or not.

Fortunately, I don't monetize subscriptions at the moment, only stream commissions, so I can use on other services.
However, I feel it would be a shame to throw away the followers I've already gotten.

I'm wondering if I should explicitly write "All characters I draw are completely over the legal age of maturity" somewhere when I stream on picarto.

Or is there a better streaming service out there?

If you know of one, I'd love to hear about it.

picarto has swapped about two years ago! pomf.tv is available for stream, and also floof.me (just gotta message the site owner--both available on ib and discord!)

Well. That technical should work. Like ya said,

The side has to put that in their terms or otherwise they would get easily shut down when something happening regarding underaged nsfw stuff.

and, it's german law. A land, where some institutions think, that forcing Windows and Apple to implement algorithms in the source-code, that automatically checks the age of its user to decide which sites on the internet they are allowed to see, is a good and realizable idea. (attention: they had the idea, but they didn't do it (at least yet), maybe because everybody else said, that this idea is stupid and just not possible)

That definitely sounds German to me. They're still following Hermann Göring's theories and philosophy of policing almost a hundred years later.

Well, technical the reason is, that most 18+ sites give a pretty fuck about youth protection. But because they aren't located in Germany the authorities can't do much against it. So they attempt other ways to solve the problem. Just.. Let's they the ones that should solve the problems are the one that has no clue how the internet and modern technology really works.
So ya can say, good intentions with horrible execution.

And to get back to the topic, picarto does that with the "all characters in nsfw has to be over 18" policy because it's unclear how underage furry is to handle. in the worst case, it could count as child pornography and no site wanna get claimed for that for unterstandable reasons.

I've written that in my picarto bio for now. It's like a talisman.

I understand that picarto has such a policy as a precaution.
For now, I've declared that the characters I draw are not minor.
Now what I can do is hoping that picarto doesn't actively censor my artwork to restrict their subjectivity
