Just a couple things here, really..
About.. Fucking Furries. Yes, thats precisely what they were doing. That being said, they are two people in a crowd. 90% of the fandom is good people, 9% are at least not bad people. The problem with us is, the 1% that are freaks are of the highest caliber of crazy...
Tho for this one, I think Chewfox and Tomcat get to give up the title for stupidest stunt pulled by a furry.
Some talk about blacklisting from everywhere. Sure I think thats justified. But some other talk about creating a blacklist for furries deemed 'undesirable', I think thats a real bad idea, because people will end up on it just because someone got pissed at them. Creating the list from people on ED? Some furries are on that just cause other furries got pissed at them.
Got to stay calm, but address the matter. Make sure the people involved on the other side (the council and the FD) know that this really isn't us. Try to help them re-establish sanity in this situation. Theres no reason anyone but the offenders have to be *ruined* for this incident. The offenders whoever they might end up being, should be shunned forever, though. Seriously the kind of damage this does to us as a fandom, well, whenever it happens an example needs to be made just so others know its serious shit and it makes others think before they act.
I think the fact that we have our own, making the blanket 'fucking furries' statement, is kind of sick tho. People who should already know better. Seriously guys, cut it out. The great majority of furry just isn't like this.
Also -- the word 'popufur' makes me rage.
