Ok first off I need to post journals more often...
Second... I need to seriously get talking about how things have been going! And let’s do it in order...
-2020 was a rough year with the pandemic, not only did it break society, it broke my friends group, I won’t go into too many details, but by the end of a very painful transition that took months we figured out who the true friends in that group were, and we became happier and more united as a result!
-What’s funny is that the year started out awesome for me, I got the privilege not many get to have and got to meet in person with some of my best internet friends, it was amazing, there was some awesome chemistry an the best part is that meeting in person felt like we always lived in the same city!
-It was also the year I had to face a rude awakening after having someone abruptly cut me off from their lives, it hurt a lot, and used to sting to think about, nowadays things are doing a lot better because again, I am able to see who my friends really are, and how friendships stand for an adult.
Not much else went down in 2020 for me on a personal level other than doing a lot more gaming, some private comissions and stepping up the artwork, so let’s switch to 2021!
2021 has been nearly just as rough, but to me it feels like the oddysey of 2020 hardened me, gave me experience so I could face things better and I feel things have gotten... Well... Not easier, but at least I find myself more confident in managing them...
-April was really good, I got to visit my online friends after seeing them in 2020, spent a whole week with them, then saw them one last time as they moved back to their homeland... u.u we learned a lot in that time and felt good!
-What didn’t feel so good is that excactly in april, 4 months ago my father had a nasty fall that broke his hip... We had to get him hospitalized and had surgery performed on him, thankfully he’s steadily recovering, but this accident brought a huge change in my life.
-Due to my father’s injury and mom’s own health issues, I have now been handed over the family business, a smol store in a big market, I am now essentially the one who helps bring food to our table and help with our living expenses, it amazes me how easy I made the transition to becoming a small business owner, looks like all the experience I got from my two previous jobs helped me out a lot, specially the retail one! I been feeling seriously at home at that job...
-Ironically enough, ever since I started working there, I became a lot more productive with my art! Lol, I’ve been honing my skills a lot and even though I’m not drawing as many pics as I’d like, what’s coming out is legit making me happy! I do wish to step up production and activity... Running my own business is nice but thanks to covid sales are slow and income is super limited... So I need to keep doing my best here to hopefully get comissioned at some point!
I got a lot more to say but I don’t want to write a novel so I’ll leave this journal as it is, thank you to anyone who passes by my profile and gallery! And thank you to anyone who reads this!
