Hello everyone. Can you help me little bit?

by
Hi. I hope everyone is doing well.

There's something I'd like to get a little help from you. It's about the commission price.

I think a lot about the price.. I'm also going to adjust the price by creating a new commission page.

I often work one picture at 50usd
Like this work. https://inkbunny.net/s/2519553

What do you think? How much do you think the exact price at my full work?

In my opinion you should charge more, I'd honestly say you could charge closer to 70-80 and +half for additional characters

ex: 80 for the first character + 40 for the second.

$50 is probably a little low for a picture as detailed as that, but it's not WTFBBQ low.
In general though, charge whatever you need to so that the number of people wanting something roughly matches how quickly you can get them done.
If you've got too many people willing to pay (relative to your ability to complete), raise your prices a little.
(Ballpark numbers: $60-80 base, +$20 per character, surcharge for complex characters/designs on a case by case basis; eg "wings" or however you feel like handling it).

50 dollars is a steal for something that good.  I agree with Influenzza, 70 to 80 for something like that is good.  I'd pay that in a heartbeat.

Others are correct, you could stand to go up in price a little more.

That price is fair (still on the cheaper side) if you aren't including the background, but including the background, yeah I'd say you should be charging more like ~90. I'd say a fully shaded fullbody should be about 60$, +50% for a detailed background, +50% for every additional character. That'd make this piece about 90$, which seems fair to me- if not still a little cheap.

Honestly, it depends on your speed. Charging 15-20$ per hour of work you do is a decent way to gauge how much you should be pricing. If this piece took you 6 hours, somewhere between 90-120 would be fair.

I personally think it's a fair price. You do really good work, and though you could likely stand to increase a bit you should do what you feel is comfortable ^^

For a fully rendered piece with a background like that I've seen artists charge $100-200. Definitely think about how much time it's taking you to make these. If I were you I wouldn't be charging any less than $15/hour of expected work, and honestly for your quality I think $20/hour is more fair.

I agree. More than 90, in my opinion. You would think it's too much but for a piece like that, it's something a beginner would do.

Your price should definitively be higher, the first comment makes sense.

Context matters. Are you trying to keep a steady stream of comms coming in? Do you have too many already? If you get fewer jobs is it going to mean missing rent or just a little less spending money?

If I wanted a picture of that quality I would definitely expect to pay more than 50 for it and you definitely shouldnt feel bad about increasing the price but if youre drawing for the sake of the art, theres nothing wrong with keeping your price low until you start to get overwhelmed with comms.

I would charge a bit more. Usually when I pay artists for like 50 bucks it's either a character with simple background colour or an YCH.

Your art looks fully rendered and detailed and I'd agree with Influenza here that what you put as an example should be charged more for all those detailed things.

Around $70-80 per character, background 10-20% of price depending on complexity. Additional characters like 30-40 bucks( if your feeling generous) the price of $50 for that is way too low.

I think you are charging so low for that great kind of pic, 50 is a reasonable (little low) price for single character full color without background or complex clothing
but detailed clothing and background should be charged more expensive depending on complexity and that one looks really complex or at least to me XD

I would pay more than 50 for something like that absolutely!

I had a full character render w/o background (simple gradient) for $45-ish bucks. I say add $20+ for background drawing/rendering.

This is just a general idea. You did amazing at character illustration! So maybe $50 if fully render character-only.

If needing to up the price, I say only do this if for-some-reason you got extremely popular or high on demand.

That is so underpaid!
Absolute minimum $ 100 for a complete work like that. But it's worth more in my opinion.

I'm not exactly knowledgeable about commission stuff... or the price of art in general, but I think that's worth at least what you're asking, if not more. It's really good.

If people want something like that, they should be paying quite a bit for it. If I were one to commision things, I would pay at least that much.

I dunno how much I'd pay, exactly, but... at the very least, don't lower your prices.

I pay 80-150 for something of that quality. I'd see my self paying around $125 for that piece in particular.
