One year, seven months, and twenty-two days.

So the "observant" staff here at Inkbunny finally realized that my story "A Blue's Embrace" committed the heinous crime of depicting Human beings in sexual situations, and for that sinister reason, it has been exiled from this site. I'm not even mad, I've been most entertained waiting to see how long it would take them to notice. n_n

Anyway, if you don't share their peculiar psychological issues, and don't have a problem with your fellow Humans doing the nasty (particularly if it's with blue-scaled lady dragons), you can check that story out on the other sites I call home. ;-)

Here it is on Fur Affinity:

And here's SoFurry's posting:
https://www.sofurry.com/view/110882

You know, I was hoping to make it back around to November 28th and make it an even two years, but I think the story had a good run here, don't you? XD

Oh dear, that wasn't my intention at all. I hope that doesn't happen, I'd hate to have to take this journal down. u_u

Not a good metric to judge the staff by because this happens on every art site. For example, cub has been banned on FA for quite some time too but there's still plenty of it hosted there. Mods on any site rarely actively patrol submissions (they're volunteers so they're not expected to, and they don't have the time to do so thanks to having a lives/jobs), but they do react to support tickets filed by the community. I'm more interested in why you would upload something you knew wasn't supposed to be here in the first place...

A Blue's Embrace was on this site well before the public outcry about the Human porn thing, and I had no reason to look through the terms of use for this specific thing because I had absolutely no reason to think Humans of all things would be unilaterally banned. I admit I left it here on purpose just to see what would happen, but you'll note all of my other Human-based stories have not gone up here, and have instead been announced via journals.

There was a public outcry about human porn? If I remember correctly, human stuff started out being completely banned (sexual or not) and later they relaxed that position to allowing non-sexual human stuff to be on the site. (So your #1 you said to Jon is incorrect.)

You also said "Sarcastic comments directed my way, on the other hand? Those start to get on my nerves." but why such a sarcastic journal, then? And why did you basically poke fun of the (as you put it) "observant" staff here at Inkbunny? That's what confused me most, really.

This has dragged on enough, and I'm partially to blame for that, I do enjoy a good argument a bit more than I should.

So I'm going to drop the sarcasm and be frank with you, friend; of course there was never an outcry about Human porn, I was referring to a group of people bitching about the ban on Human porn, after discovering that their pictures had been taken down. I had no idea that rule was in the AUP until I started seeing journals popping up complaining about it, by which time the story was already on the site.

Given that the staff's stated reasons for the ban were entirely focused on visual images, I was curious as to whether or not they would actually act to take down a text story, and so, while I didn't put up any of the Human-based stories I've written since then, I just left A Blue's Embrace where it was to see what would happen. As for the tone of the journal, the fact is, I tried to make it light-hearted, like the journals where I announce where I've posted Human-based stories on other sites, but it came out sounding rather more insulting than I originally intended, and for that I do apologize.

I still think it's a silly rule, and I'm likely to poke fun at it again the next time I write a story with a Human in it, but I have no problem following this rule, as so helpfully quoted by Mr. Whyteyote below. I hope this journal hasn't tarnished anyone's image of me, that would be most unfortunate.

I was highly confused for a bit there, nothing you said pointed to satire, and there has been a lot of drama and criticism of the staff lately, so I thought you were being a jerk (to put it nicely). The apology is much appreciated, but you don't need to apologize to me. I may have over reacted a little bit, but I tried to keep it civil. ^_^; The human rule is there to protect the site from legal nonsense, even if we don't like it they need to keep the site protected. Hopefully you understand. =) As for tarnishing your image, it did momentarily but your reply has cleared that all up, so I have no negativity towards you but it did upset me enough to un-watch you to avoid arguing with you (because I also argued with you about your previous journal about FA as well). I don't want to cause you problems so I had figured I'd remove myself before things escalate. ^_^;

You said it about FA:

"*shrugs* It's a free, privately-owned service. 's not like it's government-funded or anything, they're allowed to run the site however they choose, even if it is rather selfishly at times."

That doesn't apply here too?

It was the 'psychological issues' bit, wasn't it?

That's what made you think I was being hypocritical and complaining about this site just after posting my journal mocking the people who make journals complaining about other sites. Oh, that would be delicious for someone who didn't like me, wouldn't it?

Originally I meant it as a joke, to imply, I don't know, that the admins of this site have a phobia of Human skin or something, and thus ban all images depicting too much of it, but looking at it now, I really wonder what I was thinking with that choice of words.

In fact, I was going to reply to your comment with a bit about how Inkbunny secretly is funded by the government, to keep tabs on Furries, but the way my day's been going, I fear people would take that at face value and assume I was a crazy person. I shall instead quit while I'm ahead, so to speak.

Ah well. C'est la vie. If I must choose my words poorly, I'm glad it happened in a journal and not in one of my stories. Here, no hard feelings: have a picture of a dog inside a mailbox. http://cuteoverload.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/738161...

Also, I appreciate you explaining the reasoning behind the journal.  The internet is notorious for deleting any nuance whatsoever, leading readers to interpret, in their own (often flawed) ways, the implications behind said meaning.

From the responses, looks like it was a misinterpretation on both sides.

Glad we all know the true intent now.  Phew.

Haha I think your funny, saying that this site has issues because they dont allow humans shown in sexual manners~  Also I do believe your mad; for instance if you werent, there would be no reason in making this journal.  Sites have rules for a reason!  Also I'm just a bit curious on how you see this site as, since you clearly said this isnt your home?

The one with issues would be you~  For you purposely posted a submission that violated the rules and then waited to see how long it would take to be caught or if it ever will.

My dear, dear friend Jonny, you're reading entirely too much into this matter, and in all the wrong places!

Let me enlighten you.

1. I uploaded my story before they made their 'oh by the way' announcement that humans weren't welcome here. Then, I merely left it there, curious to see if they would actually remove it.

2. I said that FA and SF are the other sites I call my home, I'm quite fond of Inkbunny indeed, personal idiosyncrasies of The Man aside.

3. This is kind of the most important one. I really do mean it when I say the whole matter entertains me. I bear no ill will towards the staff here or at any of the other sites I frequent, I merely hope they see the error of their ways eventually. Sarcastic comments directed my way, on the other hand? Those start to get on my nerves.

Some sugar for your tea? n_n

EDIT: Oh, I forgot to address one thing, since you asked; the real reason I wrote this journal wasn't to be snarky, it was to bring people's attention to the other places my story was located, just like this journal and this journal.

Sugar would be lovely with this tea~

I did go in too deep X3  I just wanted to get a response out of you and some poking of mine.

1. Hmm interesting info~

2. It is a lovely place isnt it? :3

3. Im sorry for the out lash, just thought to add a bit of silly fire.  But I'm curious about what you mean "they see in the error of their ways" part?
