I know this is a bit late in the month but better late than never lol
Just wanted to say Happy Pride to all the lovely LGBTQ+ peeps furs and allies out there.
Pride is a very odd time for me cus it's not something I have ever really celebrated, I've never really felt proud of being gay, it's just what I am and that's that.
That however does not take away from anyone that is proud.
I'm fortunate to live in a country where it's not a death sentence. I hav same as most of us faced hate and discrimination and sadly that has stuck with me. My character Tyler embodies the person I want to, open and embracing my girly side but sadly that will never happen irl.
There are a lot of people who unfortunately have to hide who they are through fear of oppression or even arrest and in some places forced gender reassignment, conversion therapy, or even death. This is an issue that we all need to be aware of and my heart goes out to anyone who has to experience that.
The world we live in is a much kinder place for us than it was a few decades ago but the work is far from done. We all deserve to be happy free and above all else allowed to be us without fear or discrimination.
So happy pride to all my lovelies, be you LGBTQ+ or not. And hope you all have a great day. <3
