AC 2012 Day 1: Off To A Good Start

Took me only 4 hours to get to AC. Got my badge and started waiting in the Westin lobby for my roommates.

SUPERHYPERFALCON

arrived around 6pm; after checking in, I went with him to get his badge. At the side of the escalator, there was

Sciggles

. I did what others thought I'd never do....

Later that night, I went to http://www.fernandoscafe.com/ and had a killer Italian Tostado ½-sub and bought their new shirt. Then (once again going against the grain) finally struck a brief chat with @eryshe at the Westin front entrance.

Went to the hotel bar and bought a Long Island for

Dragoneer

and a Tequila Sunrise for

Sciggles

, and slowly carried them up to the 3rd floor zoo assuming they were there (they weren't). Feeling foolish and not wanting to see the drinks go to seed, I drank them. I then engaged myself in lively, animated conversation with several furs outside. :P Later today, I plan to re-purchase the drinks, making sure I locate them this time. @Blazger and

frostcat

made it up to my room late last night, and we watched Don Rickels on Craig Ferguson as I slowly sobered up.

Meeting @eryshe took a lot of chutzpah, but I went and did it anyway. Remember I only drink 2 or 3 times a year. ^^

i thought fernado's was going to be closed by the end of april?

According to Kage (if I'm not mistaken), Furnando's may be able to open again exclusively for Anthrocon 2013. I'd check the AC website to be doubly sure.

The badge you made me is SO cute! May be a challenge scanning it, though. Will scan tomorrow night.

FYI, I'm arranging another surprise for Neer. I haven't told him what it is yet, but I think he'll love it. ^^

I got realy buzzed Saturday night, actually ended up wt mascato wine <3 was delicious, as for the badge my have to photograh it, glad you like it though

Crap, crap, crap...

I've got a great friend just outside Pittsburgh and I can't afford to get out there. Might try to get a small road trip planned for next year. I'd love to share the weirdness with y'all. (Of course, I'd probably be more weirded out than y'all. heh heh)

No cash and no vacation time (new job) means no trips right now. Originally, I had a 7,500 mile road trip planned, but that's not going to happen any time soon. Still keeping the dream alive, though. heh heh.
