I hope not...I hate to think we'd be stuck with FA, SF, and FN as alternatives.

Not really. It's just due to other media sites popping up for the "first clicks".

Changing tastes, and changing options, and what people choose to spend their time looking at. People also get tired of looking at porn believe it or not. And its interesting because porn isn't as taboo anymore.

I always noticed less activity on IB, as compared to FA. I figured people were just more engaged with artwork over there. But I always had a specific theory, that the perceived lack of interaction was due to crossposts and because people interact once at the place where they first encounter the artwork, crossposts, while drawing in a larger audience, might yield less perceived reactions per post, than posts by artists that remain on a single platform. But there is also a consistent demographic shift in the Furry Fandom and the emergence of the idea, to use social media platforms to post art instead of traditional artwork galleries. So it seems there are a lot of different variables to be factored in.

The fandom goes strong still. But times indeed change, especially in the way people share artwork and engage with artists.
