Hello everyone! It’s officially been one year since I’ve started Liquor Witch comic series, and I am very happy with the progress that’s been made on it and the other series. As the comics continue, I’d like to share some insights and updates regarding the direction I’d like to take the comic going forward. This may get a bit long and sappy, so I’ll provide a TLDR at the bottom of this post.
These comics were created in the first place to give me something to work on during quarantine, since my university’s workload had lightened up and I quit my job. I wanted to start it as a small thing to see if I could keep up with it, and this is the longest creative project I have ever managed to keep up with! This page has also grown faster than any other online platform I’ve had before, and I am very thankful for all of the support. The feedback with every post has been so encouraging, and it really keeps me going!
I would like to work on these comics for as long as I can, but I would like to set expectations with the direction of the series going forward. First, while I plan on keeping the series sexual, I don’t want it to be just porn. I really care about these characters and the world they live in, and I really want to explore deeper territory. These comics over the first year have been mostly a way to get a foot in the door to see if I am capable of starting and maintaining a series like this, and now that I have proven I can do that, I’m ready to move into more ambitious material. So, going forward starting with the next comic, these comics will still be sexual, but will focus more on story than the previous ones. I had been afraid that comics like that would not be as appealing, but I’ve found comics like Cinderfrost that prove that format can still be successful. I have been planning this deeper stuff for a while now, and you can see hints of it in the previous comics if you know what you’re looking for.
With these more ambitious comics, I will most likely need more time to work on them, so my public upload schedule will go down to 2 pages a week instead of 3. This next comic especially will be exploring more of the setting the characters live in, and I need the time to make sure everything looks alive. This next comic will also take a little longer to come out, since there were some delays in the writing process. The first pages will be posted to my Patreon on April 18th , and pages will post publicly in early-mid May. While the comic is going through this brief hiatus, I will post some of the art I’ve been working on in the meantime.
In other news, I have created a website to host all of my existing comics in the easiest-to-read way: http://roxyfoxycomics.com/. This website showcases all of my artwork, and displays the comics in the most ideal way. I am also re-vamping my Twitter account! I will be posting my more SFW, non-furry art on that Twitter, and will feature art that won't be posted on my furry user-pages.
Anyways, that’s just about it. Again, thank you all so much for your support the last year, it really keeps me going, and I look forward to providing the best of my content this year!
