My mother is gone. I received a phone call from my aunt earlier this morning, informing me that mother has passed away last night. We had taken her off the ventilator yesterday, since it was clear she was ready to go. She hanged on some time after my siblings and I left the hospital for our final visit with her, she was stubborn up until the end. These past few months have been hell for all of us...
