Just caught up on Cats n Cameras comic as well as Broken Plot Device and hit up some Penny Arcade to round it all off. Seems as every artist, fur or otherwise, at one point creates or has an idea for a comic. I, myself, got into the whole act of drawing due to a comic idea and now I wonder if I might be "good" enough to scratch out a few pages.
In the past I burned out some three panel comics, about a hundred or so, while working as a Customer Service phone jockey, but a full page, multi-panel comic might be a bit above my head. More than that I wonder if I could keep it going or if anyone would care. Much like MMOs I wonder if the indie art market is a bit too saturated with the things at this point to make any kind of impact.
In the end I could always just do it for myself to get it out and done, but I wonder if anyone out there is interested in a mature comic that deals in something other than roommates, video games, or gratuitously pointless sex?
