I can't help but notice how different the fur color appears to be, but at the same time if it is a thylacine, think of how inbred they must be to still be surviving today. That is exactly the kind of thing that causes alternate fur coloration.

Yeah. Could just be an early coat for a joey? My biggest red flag for it being a thylacine is the continuous bare pawpad up the entire length of the foot.

We've been seeing more and more photos and videos of animals that could possibly be thylacines, so I'm super excited that this might mean they're still out there.
If it's true, this gives me just a little hope for the future at a time when the world seems to be crumbling to pieces.
