So maybe you've heard of this game, they've got a free demo going now. No download supposedly. If it's the same prologue from the purchased game, then you get to start off a few levels in with some skills, etc, to get a feel for how the game will play once you've put some time into it, rather than having to make a decision based off of playing a starter character.
I tried this because I was interested in how it would perform (I've been playing the actual game since closed beta), and the experience was actually pretty terrible on my connection (~6mbit down). The one time I did get it to work out of 5 tries, it ran for about 5 minutes before locking up and kicking me out again. It's the same prologue as in the actual game, though you're limited to a choice of Lancer, Sorcerer, or Warrior. The input delay was tolerable for the time that it was actually working, but that wasn't long enough to get to any actual combat. The instant demo is a pretty cool idea, but I worry a lot of prospective players will get a bad first impression due to the technical problems with Gaikai's service.

Insufficient bandwidth aswell, though my connection is 15mb, seems like they care about the latency instead. As far as I loved the game and want to try it, I'll never be able to get anything lower than 130ms latency from a US server. The game seems amazing, loved all the videos I've watched and loved to see my friend playing it as he was sharing screen on skype. Seems like the demo won't work for most of the other countries around the world.
