Reminder

On Inkbunny, you can blacklist keywords you don't like and you won't see those submissions.  It's probably just as easy as unwatching me for offending your sensibilities.

Exactly. So many people leave IB because they don't know how to blacklist keywords!

Although,  let's be honest—some people don't know how to use them either. XD

People have been conditioned to believe whining about kinks will make artists stop drawing them.

I hope that never happens

or threatening people, as is the reason we all went to inkbunny in the first place. The Cub ban thing on FA went way beyond "legal coverage" and was a bloody witch hunt. Plus several people were trying to get other fetishes like scat, gore, etc banned too. I didn't even draw cub and I was targetted by people cause I draw large feet and for some reason, people find that so much a turn off that they reported me in hopes I'd be banned (something about the quality of my art being too unpopular for "the holy ground that is FA"). I wasn't, but a few mods did visit my gallery because of that and I got several nasty comments from random users reminding me my art is "not allowed" on this site.

It took over a decade, another company buying them out, and a serious rework in administration to finally restore FA's reputation. Now it's not as bad (cub art is still banned, but no one's going to squeeze blood at you if your art is a kink they don't like anymore).

People are still getting banned when they haven't violated any rules, of course, and for things they've posted on OTHER sites, and they have no recourse when that happens, since the mods don't like to be told they were wrong.

Gosh it's still that bad there. Granted I haven't uploaded anything in over a year barring a few images to show I'm still alive. I did hear rumors about that though as I saw some people complaining on twitter for being banned for cub stuff and external reports. Still yeah, FA's site is behind the curb. Why they don't have tag censorsing like IB does and other quality of life...I mean Flash is dead and they still don't have MP4 support and barely have gif support (and a 10MB upload limit, which is horrible for gifs).

Still at least IB is safish. I don't think there's any other site being run like Inkbunny. It's kind of hard to find sites that will allow cub stuff period without getting into risque territory (or at least willing to not ban it). People jump to the most extreme conclusions about that stuff, but seem perfectly fine with favoriting brutal rape art involving a woman being tied up and beaten and told she's worthless, but lose their cells over a 17 year old taking a bath and a nipple is visible. Makes me seriously wonder who's the bigger threat to society.....

As far as threats to society goes, researchers have recently found that the vast majority of sexual crimes involving minors aren't even being committed by pedophiles. Seems counter-intuitive I know, but that's what they found. It's also been proven time and time again that the human mind is perfectly capable of enjoying violent kinks in fantasy without eventually crossing the line into reality.

Meanwhile there's bullying, doxxing, slandering, threats, blackmail, lies and presumptions, and intimidation over an expression of fantasy.. I think the whole threat to society question has a pretty clear answer.

Exactly what I've been saying. They generally will go after people who are easy to capture and given the extreme rhetoric against people who like underage concepts, it feels more like a case of "If you want a particular person to abuse without remorse, find someone who fits this bill, no law will protect them." as pedophilia is the only topic on the internet that is completely banned without exception. There are many other illegal things that you can find groups getting involved with or publically hosted sites containing it despite being a taboo (like beastiality), though violent videos would be harder to come by, but that seems to be the one thing that is totally banned except in very particular circumstances (you can find images that depict a natural setting, or nudist colony).

As a guy who likes naturism and believes in sexual openness (in that no one should be ashamed for their sexual fantasies), it does bug me. I can totally understand why the world makes it illegal, but compared to some of the violent things people can publicly talk about and get away with, it seems that sexuality is the one thing that is hard banned on every site and server and it feels hypocritical. Still, I do wish I could find more "Speakeasy sites" that instead of talking about how they want to exterminate all life that disagrees with them, could talk about fantasies and non-violent affairs that would result in just pleasure for all party participants. I don't condone exploitation, but I don't condone exploitation of people of ANY age. The fact that these people believe that when you turn 18, rape and abuse is suddenly okay... it's like how I feel about any illegal drug. You either ban ALL smoking, or you legalize marajuana and let everyone smoke what they want. Blanket prosecution only has roots in justifying discrimination.

Though on the topic of legality, I did find that apparently it would be "legal" in some states to get intimate with someone young depending on which state you lived in, with parental consent, but it seems there's an age gap limit and overall age limit. Some countries enforce it harder than others, and from reading testimony from lawyers, they generally aren't going to go after people who happen to look at it or get off on it as much as people who are distributing it, actively making it, or are involved in spreading it. But it's more a case of IF you're being searched and they come across stuff on your computer, you can be hit (and going to jail for that...might as well be a death sentence....). Still given the articles, the risk is there. Most people trade the stuff in private p2p chats. Was interesting to read about, but very few people willing to hear about it cause....stigma.

I feel your reaction, then again it's kind of futile at that point since they won't see the journal

It might at least prevent further unwatches. The journal entry was meant to be informative, not necessarily snarky or bitter. :>

Hehe it is ironic that most people migrated to Inkbunny because we were ostracized on FA due to the things we like, and yet people here seem to still think that it's okay to yell at others for what they like/dislike when the keyword block feature was designed as a measure against that. Still, that being said, Inkbunny is the least toxic of the sites I've been to for that reason, as on FA and other sites, even people who aren't watching you are quick to tell you "your art's not allowed here cause I don't like it" (and DA, the admins will tell you that while slowly deleting your gallery cause they themselves don't like your art style).

Good reminder to all that we don't need to be antagonistic just because we don't like certain content.

No different than the people on e621 that get offended by a piece they haven't black listed, and then get offended by being told to blacklist it >_>

I don't want to see this here!
Then blacklist it.
NO!
KaoNocturatzu

I think everyone universally agrees e621's comments section is more toxic than Chernobyl during the explosion. I literally use adblock to remove the comments from the pages so I can enjoy the art without seeing comments that make me wonder why we as species are even allowed to have genitals. Bonus points that some people actually take art from galleries and upload it there for the sole purpose of getting others to make fun of it and insult it. It happened to a friend of mine who draws extreme scat. He had no idea but he figured people do that cause he's targetted a lot. Still forget blacklisting...it's just sadism.

There are a few things about your artwork that I don't like, but I would never complain about it. Your detail with anatomy is damn near perfect, and if I have to see piercings in order to see the right cock on the right animal, then so be it. I'm not going to demand you remove the stuff YOU want to draw because I don't like it. I just ignore it and wait for a post of yours that doesn't have it. Some do, some don't. And yeah, some of it is "dirty" but that's natural. People need to grow up and learn how to let things be that doesn't hurt anyone or anything. It's not like your posting photographs of dogs getting banded, or has a piercing going threw it's cock, that I would have an issue with, but not art. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to the next piece you post that I will enjoy.

Thanks.  It can be nice to hear what people tend to like and don't like, but that's usually indicated fairly well by the number of favorites.

I normally just lurk and don't comment or favorite. I need to start doing that, but I never have. The stuff I don't like that you do are the piercings, just never was a fan of them. The ball torture or castration. And some implied rape. But again, I don't want to say anything because it's not my place to tell you what to do or draw unless I commissioned you. And sadly I'm not well off enough to do that any time soon.
