I've kept this quiet for a bit but man! The news is a bit unnerving. Dexterfox and I flew to Texas last December 19th to visit Dex's mom and family for Christmas. Fast forward to December 24, Christmas eve 8: 00 PM or so I felt a bit warm I took my temperature and it was about 100.5°F (38°C) by bedtime. I took some cold/fever pills I had a bit of chills and very minimal joint aches.
The fever lowered to normal range early in the early morning o the next day. When I woke up later, it had gotten up to 101.5°F (38.6°C) I took more medicine and the fever broke in -2 hours and temperature returned to normal.
It was the quickest fever I have ever had! I mean, less that 10 hours off and on. Later that day, Christmas day I was feeling as if nothing had ever happened.
After returning home on Saturday the 26TH Dexter Fox came down with a fever of the same intensity as I had for so short. He took the same cold/fever medicine and it lowered. On Monday Dec 28TH Dex made an appointment to get tested for COVID-19 and took the test on Wednesday December 30.
News came in on Saturday morning. Positive test result! 😮 The tiny fevers theat came and went fast lingered onto Dex a bit longer than me but it never was anything serious. I was a bit worried myself so I made an appointment on Saturday to take the test for COVID-19. The test was taken this past Monday. and I got my result back just an hour ago, HOLY CRAP! I have really not have had any symptoms for anything since the super fast instance on Christmas Eve and Christmas day that lasted less than 10 hours. I have been feeling very normal. I can hold my breath for 2+ minutes ETC! We have been enforcing super strict quarantine and have not gone out since getting back from Texas. Except for driving to get tested. We always took this seriously by wearing face coverings 100% of the time and we ended up with it.
Guidelines say that you are over this by not having any symptoms for 3 days. We sure are weeks beyond that. To be honest, I'm not in the best physical shape. I let myself go in 3 years, I have gained a lot of weight. 70 pounds (32 Kg) in that time. 45 pounds (20.5 Kg) in 2020 alone due to cooking too much and overindulging in food and drink. I honestly was a bit worried about myself being, WELP, obese. That's a high risk group of people who end up in the hospital on a ventilator. I have seen that there have been people in the best physical health that end up in the hospital ICU unit.
In closing. I honestly for the life of me have no idea on how in the world I tested positive for this COVID-19 in my bad physical shape and just had a super quick -10 hour on and off fever and slight body ache. That was the only symptom 2 weeks ago. Been feeling normal since then. Was it a super weak strain of COVID-19 that we picked up if such a thing is possible? I dunno! And holy smokes! I feel so fortunate, I really dodged a friggin' bullet. And some good news is that I suppose I've had my COVID-19 inoculation Yay! 🐻
I'm glad it wasn't serious for you a big relief. Whats this cold fever medicine you guys took? I'll have to keep some of those around in case something like that happens to me or someone x3 but I do have a little bit of a cold right now and only taking cough drops atm. Someone I was working across kept pulling his mask down despite having 5 guys tell him to keep it on the right way

Heyas Foxie, thanks, and I hope it's only a cold you're going through. The cold/flu (not fever like I mentioned) well, it's a fever reducer 😊 medicine is plain Target brand, Day/Night Cold & Flu Severe Liquid-gels. That's it.. Nothing super fancy.

Thanks a bunch! But I feel perfectly fine! I just had a slight fever that came and went very quick two weeks ago. And that's it. I've been feeling excellent and have been active since then. I swear, my COVID-19 case lasted about 10 hours, and it was just a little fever and a bit of body aches. That's all. 😊

I am well already, I guess I typed too much. The only bout with this COVID stuff I had was just a tiny fever two weeks and a day ago. It only lasted about 10 hours and that was it. I've been feeling very normal since then. 😀
