Art for Writers

Thank you for all your emails recommending writers! I'll be going through them all soon and start tracking down writers who could use some pimpage XP. Just letting you know I haven't forgotten really, haha.

I love that you're doing this. I feel like writers are under appreciated, and the fact you are doing this for writers is a very kind thing ^.^

You know, as I writer I don't feel under-appreciated. I do think that this is not the best medium to be know for what you put in words, considering the fast-paced consumerism that engulfs most of the fandom (and the world).
But yeah, it's always nice having people that cares :3

I don't think under appreciated was the best choice of words. Though they are the same thing, I don't mean it in a whiny way. I know writers who are bloody talented, but there stories go unnoticed, and for me that's a shame. What I really mean it's putting them in the spotlight, and will get them some readers, and that's always nice.

Hmmm... maybe under-read?  But that's a matter of personal perception.
In all honesty, I don't think I'd be comfortable having a big fanbase of my stories or something. It kinda makes it more special that only a selected few get to read it (and by selected I mean that handful that stumble upon them mostly by chance).

That being said, I wouldn't mind a couple new readers.

Better, I hate to admit it, but Ican be an attention whore. I want someone to say "Nice story" But not so much to stroke my ego, but to know I'm not writing for nothing.

Heh... but to some degree, aren't we all? If we didn't want any attention drawn to ourselves we wouldn't be furries to begin with. Heck, we wouldn't even post anything online, or go outside or anything. One of the things that define us as a being (social and human), is being defined not only by our selves but by our peers.
I'm enjoying this short conversation :3 You may stroke my tummy now.

*scratches your belly*

I know, and I do enjoy it. Writing is a touchy thing for me. In all honesty, it's really the one thing I honestly want approval of. When I play video games, I don't care if people think I suck, same for drawing. Writing and Cooking are the two thingsI think I can do, but at the same time I think I'm horrible. I want someone to say I'm good, even if I say no I'm terrible, because I get to know that someone actually likes something I made.

*purrs contently* TO me, writting is more of an outlet, and while I really REALLY love when people appreciate my work, it's like those artists that draw for themselves and don't take commissions: It's art for me by me etc. :3

Same here, but still, I like knowing someone likes my work. I'm self concious about my stories, and think they are bad, but I've had some people tell methey like my stories, so it makes me feel good.
