Being someone who never leaves the home, the lockdown didn't effect me much and my year was not much different until July 30th when my brother broke his leg, and then two days after that, our oldest dog had a fatal stroke.
Since then, things have been something of a haze, as if I'm sleeping only to wake up for brief periods and realize what is happening around me, such as "waking up" and realizing it's xmas.
The one thing that has upset me has been that before this pandemic situation, my other brother, his wife, and their daughter were wanted over here, but they "always had other plans", despite them knowing how mentally important it is for my mother and myself to see them.
But now, with the lockdown, they are "willing to visit", and now we have to tell them no since it's not advisable and will remain a no until the situation backs down (which I can confirm the virus exists and is dangerous, but fabricating the numbers of actual deaths would be an easy thing to do).
Game of the year: Carrion.
I'm not foolish enough to think that 2021 will "be better" simply because we hang up a new piece of laminated paper.
