Hi all~
So I'm back from vacation and spent last week trying to get things back to normal. Vacation was a blast, though was a bit tired after it all. (I slept for, like, 13 hours soon as we got home, lol.) We all agreed that next vacation needs to be a full week in length, not just a long weekend.
Trying to get back to normal schedule was ... interesting, lol. Due to the B-12 supplements I'm not as exhausted, but it was a bit rough readjusting my schedule. And alas, had computer issues when I went back to work since I forgot my passwords. >_<;;; But work went well, home stuff went well, and have been getting back into artwork too. Only thing I've been struggling with is, well, on these art sites. I'm so behind on the journals that I may have to nuke them. I hate doing that though. :C Or just set aside some time to read over them. I'm also bad at keeping up with submissions, but I kinda know why. (My time to look at artwork tends to be used looking at adopts instead. May not be the most productive use of my time.)
Speaking of adopts~ (Like the segway there? Huh huh? XD)
Y'all may or may not know that I want to become a character designer (among all the other things I want to do). Like, not just adopts but I love the idea of doing full character designs. I'm currently working on Farelle on such a project and I've really enjoyed it! So I've been trying to dedicate my time to doing more adopts. Usually I do my own lines but recently I've been playing around with base adopts. I started with Neomi's adorable pony base. I then created some on SleePeaTea's cow base one of my discord peeps discovered and am already on another batch of those to be uploaded later because I'm enjoying it so much.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy doing my own lineart. And I still plan to make some completely unique adopts as well. But sometimes it's nice to just sit back and color some. :) I might even consider making my own base to play around with and share. ^_~
Any suggestions for other bases I should check out? I'd prefer free bases or bases for donations (that would allow me to pay after I've made a sell). Any suggestions for themes or other species you'd like to see?
