- Code Geass : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_Geass
Pilou made me discover this mecha anime which I really enjoyed (even if it seems to have done like Evangelion, a series, then movies that are a remake of it with a slightly different story) and watched the two series fast. I actually had to restrain myself to not watch it all at once to spread it over the confinement. The mechas are looking great and more realistic than many mecha animes out there, the characters themselves is a mixed bunch. They got personalities and details and have depths in those, graphically, it's Clamp and it doesn't work for me always for the males. But overall, it's good. The story is a bit up and down with convoluted story arcs but it keep it steady and interesting. I'll give it overall a 4 barks out of 5.

- Aquaman : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquaman_(film)
Aquaman has never been a favorite of mine, even if I only count DC superheroes (and I prefer Marvel). Contrary to Batman, which is mostly constant whatever the incarnations, Aquaman had many versions that are totally different. I have seen him as an humoristic bard in The Brave and the Bold, useless in some comics, and the badass version we have in the movie in others. Without surprise, the movie decided to not adapt the others versions of the characters (even if they may be some jokes about it in the movie) and introduce us to many characters from the Aquaman comics. Contrary to the horrible other movies of the DCEU, it gives them personalities, backstories and motivation while keeping the main story going and interesting. I am still a bit baffled about Aquaman letting the 5 kingdoms get killed by his monsters when he arrives on the battlefield for a while before deciding to end the battle, but hey... It was entertaining. 3.5 barks out of 5

- The last kids on earth book 3 : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_Kids_on_Earth_(T...
Continuing on their same general storyline as book 2 and building up on it, this season is still funny and silly, but is a bit lackluster on the general storyline. It's a bit hard to get really involved in the new villain, but the storyline introducing book 4 is more interesting. 3 barks out of 5

- Ocean's eight : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ocean%27s_8
I really loved the Ocean movies, so I wanted to see the spin-off. Lackluster critics had kept me from doing so, but when the opportunity to watch it with Pilou came along, it was a good time. There isn't much to say about it. It's not a bad movie, but it's not a great one either. I had a good time, but when I remember some of the scenes of the three previous ones to this day, I can barely remember having watch this one. It's a good movie for an idle evening. 2.75 barks out of 5

- Emoji movie : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Emoji_Movie
So, yeah, I watched that movie. Just to know why it was ranked among the 10 most watched stuff on French Netflix. To know what this turd was about. It is as bad as it was described. No imagination, no idea, no fun, only advertisements over and over. There is nothing to get out of it but memes. 0.25 barks out of 5

- Battletech the animated series : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BattleTech:_The_Animated_...
Given access to this series thanks to Tacki, I put on the back burner for a while because of the low quality of the videos (but it's not like it's something easy to find). I have always enjoyed the Battletech universe, having played the early videogames (including the arcade one in which you are in a cockpit) and once the RPG (in which I was a battlemech warrior mercenaries), and Tacki's own rpg adventures sure reminded me of those times (Btw, my brother gave me the most recent video game of this series for my birthday, so in a few months, I may ride into battle again). The early CGI use is really interesting and nice, but the storylines are really bland. It's your by-the-numbers cartoon of this time period, but see mechs in battle was pleasant. To check only if you're interested by Battletechs. 3 barks out of 5. Note that the series exists in-universe as a cartoon for children from the Battletech universe.

- Transformers : rescue bots academy (season 2) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers:_Rescue_Bots...
The last show and final season from the Transformers : prime universe, it wasn't that great. I don't know about its success overall, but the series ended over a year ago and the toys from it are still shelfwarmers at my local toystores (and they have more of those than of the current War for Cybertron ones, to my sadness). The characters get a bit of depth, but are still pretty bland and cliché, the storylines do the same, and while it is aiming at really young kids (no babyfur jokes here, please) it is not smart or interesting in the ways it does it. A really bland show that I watched only to watch everything transformers (and yes, that means I have to get through the Combiner Wars ones someday) 2.75 barks out of 5

- AlienS https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aliens_(film)
I don't usually review movies I've already watched, but there is a bunch of great movies I saw as a child that, as such, never get reviewed by the Marfin Critic. I sometimes rewatch them and I was really excited a couple of weeks ago to rewatch Aliens (or Alien 2). I loved Alien, I enjoyed Alien 4, I dislike Alien 3 and let's not mention the rest at all, but I prefer to rewatch Alien 4 or 2 than the one because I have easily nightmares, and as such, the more action-oriented ones are nicer for me. I love the mix of horror and action from this movie, which remind me of many RPG adventures I had in science fiction, from the Space Hulk boardgame to some Star Wars D6 scenarios. Being that old and famous a movie, there isn't much I can tell about it that people wouldn't already know. The atmosphere, the acting, the xenomorph... it speaks to me as a science fiction fan and sure it great. 4.75 barks out of 5

- Camern Sandiego (season 3) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmen_Sandiego_(TV_series)
Focussing more on Carmen's backstory, which makes sense in the character development, we get to know more about her past as she discovers it. The capers are a bit less interesting than previous seasons, since it's more about her backstory, but it is still quite enjoyable. 3.75 barks out of 5

- Once upon a snowman : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Once_Upon_a_Snowman
Continuing to ride the Frozen wave, Disney release the equivalent of the Lion King 1/2 (Lion king 3 for some europeans) for Frozen, the same concept of an origin story with having the comic character happen to stumble through events of the story and looking at them from the outside. It avoid the errors of said Lion King by being a short animated movie and not overdoing it. It is fun, silly and just that. Nothing to really miss but still good fun. 3.25 barks out of 5

- Spiderman  season 3 : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider-Man_(2017_TV_series)
Thanks to Covid, the format of this season has been altered and it made the pacing a bit weird, especially about the ultimate villain reveals that felt a bit flat. The two main stories feel a bit disconnected and all that, which hurt the season overall. Still, it's the same good Spiderman fun, with the addition three fellow spider heroes (which don't get as much screen time outside of Miles Morales), so I'm quite happy with it. 3.25 barks out of 5

- Pacific rim 2 : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_Rim:_Uprising
A totally uninamagitive, by the numbers action movie with robots. Only the robots scenes are of any interest, the rest is so bland, so cliché, so predictable, it is such a waste of time. There is nothing redeemable out of it outside of the battles and as such I don't have much to say about it. All this was what I was afraid I would get, and I did got it. 2 barks out of 5

- Runaways season 2 : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Runaways_(TV_series)
It took me a while into returning to this Marvel movieverse tv shows (that may not be even well known), not being it is bad, but ... I don't really know, maybe the longer episodes ? I really like the characters and this season continues what was started in the first, give them more depth, give more backstory and all that. It's nice, interesting, if a bit slow at some point (a problem that increase with 3rd season) but coherent, well acted, got some nice twists and all that. It's a bit hard to say about why I was so reluctant to watch the episodes overall when I remember only good things about it. But 3.25 barks out of 5

- Blood of Zeus : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_of_Zeus
This series, done with the same style as Castlevania, this original story could fit in Greek legends with little changes. It's a tragedy, it has action, characters and a lot of great visuals. I really enjoyed overall and can't tell much more without making spoilers, but it has twists and turn. I feel some of the secondary characters are underused, likely to make them more important in a second season. 4 barks out of 5

- Lego Star Wars holiday special : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego_Star_Wars#Television...
It reuse a lot from the christmas special and also so so many references, including the kinect "I don't speak huttese song." which are likely to go past most people. The humor and scenes are funny but not great if you don't get all the references everywhere. It is based on a small plot line barely scratched in the 8th and 9th movies, which I do like, and is set right after the 9th movie. I had a good time overall even if quality if all over the place. I had fun despite the whole main shtick not being pleasant to me. 3.75 barks out of 5
