Art Update / Thank You

So, this journal is a bit overdue.

I'm currently closing commissions till at least the start of 2021 as any day from now I'm going to be a father.

It's been a very strange year, and saying that feels like just stating the obvious. My day job was in question March / April, which coupled with our trip to the UK for 5 weeks suddenly being cancelled and desperately trying to get our money back from it was very stressful (we'd saved for 2 years for this trip, but at this stage we've got the majority of our money back). Then I got the news that I would be a father in May, it's not something I thought would ever happen so it was wonderful to have something positive to focus on.

I still plan to draw into the future, but I'm going to have to find a new normal with a baby. I also need to find a good balance for commissions vs trades vs my own pieces for Monumendo.

Being honest, having those commissions from March till now were a great, positive distraction. I'd lost a lot of my drive to work on Nether Matters and other pieces due to uncertainty regarding my job and the future, so having those pieces to work on really did help. I'm also very grateful to Duzt for our Digital Love collaboration, I'm sure it won't be our last project together.

Next week I'm going to post the first species sheet (for Wilds Venkats), and will be working on other species now that I have a template for them. I'm also most of the way through the line-art of a new Tails Appreciation piece which should be a bit of fun. Regarding Nether Matters... I'm not sure, I need to get my motivation back to work on it.

Finally, just thank you. I love to draw and just sharing my art for others to enjoy has never gotten old for me. Thank you to everyone who ever commissioned me, is watching my galleries or is just casually looking at my stuff, I really do appreciate it and I hope where ever you are you get through these crazy times safe and in good health.
