Heheh!!! The delivery estimate was from the 24th of may to the 12th of June and it got here on the 24th!! Mwhaha!!! I love this thing. Unplugged my old Intuos2 , reinstalled the drivers ,and plugged this in. It's a little scuffed in places but nowhere near as used as my old one is ^///^
The pen is wider and has a rubber grip around it, ends up making it feel really solid compared to the solid plastic of the old one. The toggle button feels like it's further down...or something, but that's because the pen itself is actually longer, there's more for my hand to grip. The touch strips work perfectly, I tested them out in SAI first, and they got me zooming around like a zoom'n fool XD There's no overlay sheet, just the default plastic there, but it feels like drawing on glass!!! Sooo smooth!!!
One problem I encountered was that my palm would accidently touch the touchstrip when I type, causing it to zoom in or whatever it was made to do. I just got an old sock, cut off half of it so my fingers would fit though and cut a hole for my thumb. Boom, problem solved. I suspect the same thing could be used for the Intuos5 too. Another little gripe I have is that you can't set the keys on the tablet to auto-repeat while you hold them down - like how a keyboard does. But just now I was able to create a little AHK script that auto-repeats everytime i hold down one of the tablet's keys. ^.^ So, another problem solved!
I'm still pretty happy with this tablet so far, love the drawing surface a lot, and the pen is just awesome. It's unreal how smooth it feels, even though it's like what?...8 years old by now?
