Woah.. o.o;

I hadn't actually realized how big a bullet I dodged during Hurricane Laura. I've been noticing some indents in the ground. I had been assuming that they were from the tractor my step-dad used to re-level my trailer... but no.. they're from the trailer itself. This thing didn't JUST come off the blocks. It was blown at least 22 feet from where it started. Seems the only reason it didn't go any farther was because of the ties that my step-dad had put on both ends. One of them was ripped out of the ground, the other must have held it in place when it got far enough out.

Just down the road, my cousin has a trailer, which thankfully he wasn't living in, a bit smaller than this one, and the front end of it is just gone! I never saw a piece of it anywhere out here, it's just.. gone.

Got a terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach seeing just how close I came to losing this place..

The coast? I'm not near the coast. We don't have to worry about storm surge here at all. Besides, I can't leave here. I've tried three times. Only thing I can do is try to arrange for an ACTUAL trailer rather than a camp trailer, but that could take a very long time.
