Hey, everyone. I just saw something that made me want to write this. I don't like seeing anybody depressed. I never have. It drives the empathetic side of me crazy, and I just need to get these feelings out there.
You matter.
No matter what is going on in your life, no matter what circumstances, internal or external, that are messing with your emotions, and no matter what anyone, even yourself, tells you, you matter.
There is someone out there, somewhere, that will care about you and love you no matter what, and they won't let silly flaws get in the way like everyone else might.
The events that happen in your life do define you, but they only have to define you in ways that you want them to. Screw anyone who has taken advantage of you. Fuck anyone who has put you in a terrible situation. Those people are the ones who don't deserve you, and it's not that you don't deserve the people who actually care about you.
I may not have witnessed death firsthand before or have any experience with people who are close to me ending their own lives, but I was on the brink of doing so one time, and I can't, in good conscience, let other people suffer when I can do something about it, even if that something is minuscule, like writing a journal to my small group of watchers.
Please, if any of you are on the brink, just remember that you matter.
