Damn Exclipse

God, I fucking hate Eclipse! I want old Deviantart back. I can't Edit, reply, delete, log out or Switch back to normal. I needed a new IOS for my IPad and new Windows for my computer. I don't understand why the deviantart staff would do this. When will they ever listen to the users? I'll NEVER EVER forgive who's responsible for the deviantart site.

Yes! That is why I need to change my IOS and Windows because my old ones can't handle Eclipse!

i don't really go on deviantart that much so i cant really say anything expect if its anything like youtube i'm not surprise this is the case

Well hopefully after people complain or even leave the site enough they'll give back the chance for people to decide whether or not they want to use Eclipse.

You can still edit, there's an icon that looks like a pencil that is the edit option.

The sad thing is that Eclipse has been in development and tested for 2 years, and it still does not work worth a damn.  They're also using staged updates, so not everyone is running the same version of Eclipse.  It's common for some people to have issues, but other people don't.  This leads to lots of people having arguments about whether features work or not, effectively pitting the community against itself.  It's madness!

If you're on Windows, you need to use either Chrome or Firefox.  Almost everything else is not "supported", because DA sucks.  It doesn't matter that you're using Windows 7.  Don't screw up your computer by updating to Win 10 -- just get an alternate web browser.  I do web development and I'm a security freak, so I have 6 browsers installed, and I use a different one for each task.  Eclipse seems to work [relatively] fine with Firefox, but causes issues with my favorite browser, PaleMoon.

On iOS, you're forced to use Safari, so I think your only option is to update iOS.  Even then, I hear Eclipse still has issues with the latest version.

I decided to just stop using DA altogether.  To hell with WIX and the mess they've caused.

same here, hell i'm still using windows 8 on my current laptop, the only reason I go back DA every now and then is cause It's where I got my start before I branched off to here and FA. oh a little trick to logging out of your da if you're stuck go into your stash and use the log out button from there it works every time for me.

Do you have another browser? I have three, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. I use Internet Explorer, but when dumb eclipse took over I had to use my other two browsers just to get on DeviantArt. Through there I was able to remove messages, edit my favorites, browse the newest stuff on search and log out. But I still have no pages on galleries and favorites and it is still very much a nightmare trying to figure out all of this and I am actually thinking about leaving DA and focus more on my Fur Affinity and of course here on Inkbunny if things don't get any better soon.

I only have Internert Explorer. I'm not so sure if my computer can handle Google Chrome or Firefox. My computer is really old. It's Windows 7.

Oh okay then. I swear I feel the only way to get the old site back will be a riot or a protest would be at the DeviantArt building, but even then I don't if they'll even listen to the protesters even if they are just outside the door.

I doubt they'll listen anyway, regardless the petition. Thank god I never have a Youtube account. I mean, Youtube is really dangerous when it comes to account members.

Believe me, I wasn't happy when the old DA got retired. Mainly because Eclipse doesn't work very well on my Wii U browser. I've been using that to get on DA since 2012 (When the Wii U launched). As of now, the Nintendo Switch doesn't have a internet browser so I can't get to DA there yet.

I know, right..

I honestly agree to you that Eclipse is really hard to use because it is new, and also the old Deviantart site is more better and easy to use.
