I only get it when I try to browse the main page. If I go directly to someone's profile, new submissions, or a picture I've not had a problem. To me that indicates an issue that is likely outside of IB's control - like maybe a router or load balancer at a data center is mis-configured or starting to fail. I changed my cache server to Dallas early this morning and I've not had an issue since.

Noticed something similar, yeah. If I have a page up, the traffic doesn't interrupt. If I close down the page and make a fresh attempt from outside, it's the 503.
