For me, it wasn't really anything in particular. At a young age, I was perusing about furry the porn world and eventually stumbled upon furry content. I am super elated to say, however, that I did just recently find one of the MAIN sources that got me to look further into the furry fandom. Back in the days of the Nintendo DSi, people made flipnote animations and uploaded them onto Nintendo's media share service for Flipnotes called Hatena. I didn't animate but I would go there often to see what people had made and found this artist (particularly the first animation in the compilation) and their use of the song "Everything You Wanted" by The Queenstons. Most furries will know that is one of Renard's many aliases, so after loving the animation and the song, I look more into Renard which led to learning more about the furry fandom.
Fun Fact: Interestingly enough, this is also how I became a brony :3c Because of Renard's "Rainbow Dash Likes Girls (Stay Gay Pony Girl)" song, I eventually looked into where those samples came from which lead to me watching the show looking for the original songs. Which, of course, ironically enough, includes the song "Winter Wrap Up" which plays in episode 11 of season 1, so...yeah, I ended up watching it for a while and it just stuck XD
